A meaningful interaction

For this project, I was encouraged to create a meaningful interaction between shapes and shadows from using only a 4x6 inch piece of chipboard.

Light Model

For my creative process, I decided to first photograph and study three categorized types of light: fractured light, focused light, and ambient light.

In the model, I strove to represent a space, which would be able to capture fractured, focused, and ambient light by altering the location of my light source.

A Collision Between Two Movements

In this study, I watched and recorded the narrative process of movement, in particular the interaction between two opposing forces.
I was then able to create a model which interpreted the visual data that I had gathered in observation.
